From 1983 to 1987 I served as a Medical Officer in the U.S. Navy. Between 13 April 1987 and 31 January 2003 I served as a Family Physician in the town
of Roland, Oklahoma (population 2,481). I joined Holt-Krock Clinic as a full partner in December 1991.
Our clinic was affiliated with PhyCor, Inc., from 1995 to 1999, when it was acquired by Sparks Hospital. I began working in an outpatient family practice and walk-in clinic in south Fort Smith, Arkansas, in February 2003. In June 2016 I relocated to the Sparks Family Medicine Clinic on Massard Road in east Fort Smith, now known as Baptist Health Family Clinic.
I was on the active staff of Sparks Regional
Medical Center, Fort Smith, Arkansas, from April 1987 through May 1997. I served on the Continuing Quality
Improvement Committee, the Emergency Room Subcommittee, and the Medical Informatics Steering Committee. I was chairman
of the Nursing Liaison/Tissue Donation subcommittee for several years. I was chief of the Family Practice service in 1993.
I was on the staff of St. Edward Mercy Medical Center from 1987 to 2003.
I served several years as medical director of Sparks' Home Health Care.
In 1992 I was appointed Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Family and Community Medicine, AHEC-Fort Smith.
In 2016 I was appointed Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Primary Care, Division of Family Medicine, Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Currently I am working as an out-patient clinician with
Baptist Health System,
which manages clinics throughout Arkansas.
