Editor Times:
    I want to add my protest in regard to turning the court park into a parking lot. I would think that before it could be done that a special election would have to be held or called county-wide, as the courthouse and park belong to the people of Boone County. Captain Fick deeded this plot of ground to the county for the park and courthouse. I am for progress but not to the point of destroying beauty.
    The park is a beautiful place, plenty of shade but more seats are needed for a weary shopper to rest. Those trees are beautiful. It takes a long time for a tree to grow.
    If the "group" should have the influence to get a parking lot in the park, remember there are other places not too far away where one can get all their needs.
