Christian attacks public schools
During a recent fund-raising dinner for a local Christian school, many listened to speaker William J. Murray, a former atheist, attack public school education in every way imaginable.
If he can succeed with his apparent goal to remove all Christian students from our public schools, he will do greater damage to our nation than his mother, Madalyn Murray O'Hair, did in the early 1960's when she was credited with removing God, prayer, and the Bible from our public schools.
We are very fortunate to have such good private and public schools in Fort Smith. To keep them so, we must not advocate the removal of good Christian influence from any of the institutions or businesses that serve our community.
