1989

MERRY CHRISTMAS 1989!

Dear loved ones,

We hope you have seen the glory of the Lord in 1989. As a year and a decade come to a close we want you to know that you are a special part of our lives.

One big event of the year was our trip to Mexico. We also visited friends in San Antonio, went to Sea World, and Six-Flags.

Michael remains busy with his growing practice. He was recently appointed a deacon at church, where he also teaches teenagers on Wednesday nights. He is planning a trip to Hanoi, Vietnam, in February with a medical mission team. He continues to work on the family tree in his spare time.

Jeannie keeps busy during the week by singing with the Fort Smith Chorale, lecturing for a ladies' Bible class, volunteering at Euper Lane Elementary School, and directing a ladies' a capella singing group, One-A-Chord. The ladies recorded their first tape in the Spring. Being Health & Safety chairman for PTA, popcorn sales chairman for the Boy Scout pack, carpooling, and child escort service occupies the rest of her time. She also directed vacation Bible school in the Summer.

Angelique is in the fifth grade. She likes to read and write. She serves as editor for her class newsletter. She takes private piano lessons from a topnotch teacher. In the Spring, she won first place in the science fair for a project about growing plants in different types of mediums. During the Summer, she took tennis lessons. She is also in the Gifted and Talented program at school.

Steven is in the second grade. He enjoyed selling popcorn for his Cub Scout group this Fall. He takes piano lessons. He played baseball on a church league team. They won third place in the tournament. He is showing incredible engineering aptitudes with various toys he has. He, too, is in Gifted and Talented. He is just sure that, because of his few shares in Walmart stock, the small portion he owns is the toy department.

May God provide you with happiness and peace in 1990. Join us in our prayer that the recently freed citizens of Communist nations will use their new freedoms to discover God's will for their lives. We would love to hear from you. Come see us when you can.

Love,

Michael, Jeannie, Angelique, & Steven
