Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Cole Family!

We feel blessed to be permitted to share with you a few of this year’s activities that have added to our family history.

We opted to skip any major trips this year, finally accepting that a whole wing of our 40-year-old house was far past due for remodeling and redecorating. Jeannie spent countless hours choosing the right tiles, colors, fabrics, furniture, etc., so that we now have bedrooms and bathrooms properly transformed for the 21st century. We are still astonished at the changes every time we walk into our master bedroom. You can see a glimpse in the photo below.

Michael continues to adjust to an ever-changing healthcare system, which this year included stopping after-hours patient calls. He participated in the training of a nurse practitioner student for three months. He enjoyed his 40-year high school reunion in Harrison, Arkansas. We celebrated the 60th wedding anniversary of Michael’s parents in June.

Jeannie sang with the Acappella group for another Praise & Harmony CD. She attended her high school reunion in Newport, Arkansas. Jeannie is serving her third year as President of Fort Smith League of Women Voters and was elected President of the Fort Smith School Board.

Angelique and family sold their house in Coppell and moved to the far side of Fort Worth. Greg is a Pathologist at a Fort Worth hospital. Corbin, now 9 years old, is making friends at his new school in Aledo, Texas. Rhiannon entered Kindergarten this year.

Steven still enjoys computer programming for the University of Arkansas. Louise finds joy as a stay-at-home mom. She works on her doctoral dissertation as she can find time. Carmen turned 2 years old and has discovered much to talk about.

We hope and pray that all friends and family who read these words will know that you are cherished for whatever role you have played in making us who we are and contributing to what we believe. As a new year begins, please remember that showing kindness and forgiveness turns you and others a little more into the potential that God intended.

May your Christmas be filled with joy and your New Year full of wonder.
